First paragraph, yes, the problem is that video games are not taken seriously as an artistic medium and so finding a team and getting funding for making a seriously artistic game is fucking hard. I honestly don't know how the Odin Sphere team managed to do it, but games like OS are such a rarity.

And Charkles, Music and Literature are taken seriously as artistic mediums but they are in the exact same condition as video games in that the Bourgeoisie command the market, and the bourgeoisie demand mediocrity. North America can't take *any* medium seriously, it's their common belief that music is 100% subjective, after all. I'm speaking from a world standpoint, everyone knows North America is total shit artistically. But it's the mentality Chris was exhibiting that's far too commonplace, and so I was calling him a faggot.
